Sufficiently level?

In preparation to make the final push to get my tank going, I set out to level my tank. Using shims, this is as close as I can get to 100% level. The level is a standard 1 3/8" planar level.

Will this be sufficient or should I shoot to center up it closer? As it is now it is off by about somewhere between 1/32" and 1/16".

I would get as close as possible. You will find that even after you think you are dead on, once the water is in and your stand settles you will find some movement. It is said that an unleveled tank puts stress on the tank and stand. You'll probably not have any problems but it is easier to correct before your tank is filled with livestock. Also, I found it annoying if there is a difference in the waterline across the top of your tank.

That's what I feared. Now I just need to find a way to micro shim it, so to speak. Adding another of my existing shims pushes it off the other way.

Thanks for the help.

You might fill your tank with water and see where the bubble goes. You might be surprised which way it goes.
