Sucrose is one unit each of fructose glucose linked together. Glucose has 6 carbon atoms in its ring and fructose has 5.

So what's a good form of sucrose? Vodka, table sugar, a simple syrup (made with ro/di water of course) ?

table sugar is sucrose. Simple syrup is a solution of sucrose, easier to use if made the same way each time.
