Suggest fish I won't see 24/7

Hello,

Can you suggest some fish that I won't necessarily see all the time or fish that hang near the exact same spot such as shrimp gobies.

The only future addition that is set in stone is a tail spot blenny.

Tank info is in the Sig.

Thanks,
Aaron

swissgaurd or candy basslett (depends on budget)

golden angel (will move around though but you wont see it much)

full moon or gecko gobys. added one to my tank and not seen it since feb. lol

How about a six lined wrasse or a lot of other wrasses. They move around a lot and dart into and out of rocks. Some bury themselves in the sand all night as well.

I will sell you a fish that you may only see once every few weeks, if you are looking very carefully and do not blink.

It is a red herring mimic goby.

The only stipulation is that I add it to your tank in total darkness. They are very shy.

As you can imagine such a rare fish is very expensive, but I would be willing to work out a payment plan with you.

:D

I have a marine betta and a Plectranthias Inermis in my 58g tank, neither of which is out all the time.

Although, now that I've had the betta a few years, it's really not that shy, it'll come to the top of the water colum during the daylight and stay there for a while.

I've read here, that the females aren't as shy as the males, so maybe mines a female.

Marine beta gets to big.

I want to stick with fish that are 3" or smaller. The possum wrasse seems cool. Candy basselets are not an option lol.

My royal gramma basslet hides in the rockwork most of the time. He only comes out to eat and to take the occasional stroll.

Assessors are often a little cryptic. We would go weeks at a time without seeing the last one we had.
Lots of gobies will hang out in one area.

tiger goby looks sick! Only concern is would it be safe with shrimp/crabs.

I wish I could do all blennies and gobies save for a pair of clown-fish (ugh, girlfriend). I think gobies and blennies typically fight with each other right?

In my experience fairy wrasses tend to be shy, rarely seen fish that like to sort of hang out in the rock work until its feeding time.

Right now in my tank I have to sit and look a minute before I see my critters. At a LFS there is a blenny that I always look for hiding amongst the corals, I want to replicate that. I like burrowing fish also.

I'm weird, I have never kept a fish larger than 4-5" in my four years of being in the hobby(most of it freshwater). Even my 125g freshwater does not have any fish that will grow larger than 4" and I love seeing them move in and out of the thick plants.

I hate seeing fish pace, breaks up the natural look I always strive for.
