Suggest me a main display fish

Well, I'm 3 for 3 with the Potters Angels, despite them all eating frozen mysis and flake before purchase, so I'm giving up on the Potters as a main fish. I'm looking for ideas from you guys. Here are the stipulations:

-has to get along with blennies, gobies, and my true perc (hopefully soon to be two)

-not a bazillion dollars (under $100 would be nice)

-not a carpet surfer (just say no to wrasses)

-NOT a zoanthid eater

I was going to get a lemonpeel but fortunately I researched before I bought...saved me lots of headaches and money. So, suggest me a fish.
 
How about the Ultra Rare FadeFish. Here is a picture of one. It has nice color and tries very hard to get along with everyone. As you can see, he will eat Nori right from a clip....

I have not seen the price, but with the ugly mug on the front of the fish, I would suspect he is pretty inexpensive....

Inexpensive to purchase, but the upkeep is a killer... High dollar for sure...:lol: :lol: :lol:
 
She might have you there Hobbes... It could be that the Fade fish is just seemingly rare, as no one really wants to look at it, so they just think it is not there....

That is one UUUGGLGGLLLYYYY fish!! I would get a trigger to put in with him:lol:

Potter's are hard to find healthy. My friend Smiller has had one for about 6-7 years that is beautiful! But, that is the exception not the rule.

I would look at a hawkfish...they are always out and about and show true character. Another fish that I would consider is a neon dottyback or splendid dottyback. Also, a Springer's dottyback or blackcap basslet would be cool.
 
Oh, another rule...

NOT AGGRESSIVE! I don't want to have to worry about adding other fish and then having them get beat up.
 
Many fish can be aggressive and still work out with other fish depending on what you already have. Generalizing fish as aggressive would limit your choices too much, IMO.
 
Add a flame angel and coral beauty at the same time. They are both stunning fish and will not eat anything or bother other fish. (might chase wrasses...mine did until he hit the floor) They should get along if you add the same time.

I don't know that I have enough tank volume for two angels, though I would like to have one, I'm not sure what kind. Do goldens hide as much as they're rumored to?

Well I think I would try a Flame Angel. You do have an excellent skimmer, so as far as wter quality goes, I think you could do ok with two angels possibly, if you wanted to try the Coral Beauty too.

Dual 40 right? That is alot of water... decent skimmer, might be succesful.

You could always make room by giving me the golden dwarf moray if you need to...
