Suggestion for 120g Flow?

How many Vortechs either mp40 or 20's should I have in my 120g Tank, it would be an SPS dominant tank. Also, I have a question about the wave driver. Is it fairly easy to program the master pump/slave pumps? I am 14 so I was wondering if the directions would be easy enough for me to understand (I'm not really dumb, just not sure of myself).

EDIT: I read the faq at the top of the page, so the directions are easy.


I was wondering also if I would have to buy anything else besides the Powerheads themselves and the wave driver? Also, when purchasing a pump new, would it also be Gen 2, or would I have to I guess "program it"?

Hi Steve,

Without a doubt two MP40w pumps would be your best option. Twp MP20's would not be sufficient for a tank that size. The beauty of our technology is that you don't need to pick up any other accessories in order to operate the pump and enable them to communicate together; the controllability comes right out of the box. Any new pump on the market today should be a Gen2 pump. If not, we'll send you the Gen2 magnets.
