Suggestion to stop jumping fish

I have an open top aquarium that I enjoy looking into from the top. The lighting is suspended by wires about 12" above it. I have however lost a few fish over the years and would be interested if anyone had a suggestion that would keep fish in while maintaining the look I enjoy so much.

Thanks

garden netting is superior to eggcrate IMO

Yes, if you have some smaller fish, like gobies or wrasses, you should probably use 1/4" netting. For large fish only, you could manage with 1/2". You can cut window screen framing to size and use spline to secure it in the frame.

Bulk Reef Supply carries all this stuff, but it seems that recently they are having trouble keeping the netting on hand. PM me if you need netting sooner - I can point you to where I got mine.
