I have two streams and a wavebox for my 160G tank. The tank is roughly 60" long and 25" high. I have the two streams in the front corners pointing to the opposite back corners and the wavebox on the right side. The wavebox is generating a 1.5" wave and I have the streams set to interval 2. My rock formation is two peaks with one on each side of the middle overflow. The problem I am having is large dead spots behind my rock formation on both the left and right sides. I was thinking of adding in my spare Turbelle electronic pump but not sure what is the best formation and setting to get my maximum water movement.

With the wavebox it should really be impossible to have a dead spot. I suspect that you have so very heavy detritus that cannot be suspended and I would just siphon this off. If you have a lot of herbivores and rock boring animals (bristle worms) the gravel from the gullet of the herbivores and the rock dust can be too heavy to get into suspension. Older detritus can also get a heavy biofilm clumping it together.
