Suggestions for 3rd fish for LiveAquaria order?

I am about to make an order with LA for 2 True Percula Clowns (Tank-bred).

I do not want to spend so much on shipping for only 2 fish, so I need suggestions for a 3rd (or 3rd and 4th) fish that would go well with a pair of clowns in a 29.

My ideas so are:

-Bicolor blenny (but I don't have an algae problem and am concerned it will starve)
or
-Bangaii Cardinal
or
-Yellow prawn goby
or
-Blue reef chromis (Chromis cyaneus-maybe 2 of these?)

Please make suggestions and feel free to edit my list!

I think any of those are fine choices, personally I'm partial to watchman gobies (pair him with a tiger pistol for maximum enjoyment).

I have a banghai in my 29 with my one percula. I love those fish, they are beautiful. Banghai gets my vote

i would do the yellow watchman goby and the cardinal so that way u have a bottom dweler or percher, a middle dweler or hoover, and then 2 fish that swim everywhere haha.
also another good fish would be a royal gramma or some sort of wrasse

I've had 4 chromis in a 125g for 10+ months. Minimal fighting. No deaths.

They are definitely darker and not as bright as damsels. but seem to tolerate each other better.

Then again, I've got 3 clown fish in a 72g bowfront for about one year.

IMO, the blue reef chromis will make your tank look small if they get as big as Liveaquaria states they do. A couple weeks ago I was at a fellow reefer's house, and there was a 5-6" tang in his 180. To me, it made the tank look too small, so I can't imagine what a similar sized fish would make a 29 gallon look like.

I personally would choose the watchman goby and pair with a pistol shrimp (red banded would be my preferred pistol) given you have a deep enough sand bed and a bangaii if you do two fish.

Ive had 5 blue/green crmes in my 120 for a lottle ove a year now and no fighting wat so ever and they were added a couple months apart too, I never knew chromis to be agresive

I would like to stay away from the gramma, I have heard horror stories for those guys, and the wrasse may be a little to active/agressive for my tank, in my opinion.

I know! I can't believe they get that big, I was worried about that too.

It seems most people are voting for the shrimp/goby pair. I wasn't ready to add inverts to my tank yet, but I may consider it.

The thing about the goby and cardinal, in my opinion the cardinal is prettier, but has less personality. The goby isn't as pretty, but has more personality. I have to weigh those options.

I need to decide by Wednesday!
If anyone has any other suggestions, they'd be welcome!

Didn't see that they are going in a 29g

These guys get pretty big for a small fish.

In a 125g, they look cool. More than one in a 29 might not.

Yeah, I'd stay away from the Blue Chromis in your size tank. But, the others look fine. I've had two different Royal Grammas and neither is a problem with any fish. Maybe in a smaller tank, but I've never seen any real aggression.

Here's a couple Shrimp Gobies that I've had and like:

+1 for both! With two perculas, a banghai, and a goby/shrimp pair, you aren't going over your bioload for a 29g, 4 fish and a shrimp is a good stocked 29g...and you don't have to make any cuts lol. Everyone wins!

Another vote here for the goby/pistol pair or maybe even a Midas or Bicolor blenny. The goby/pistol pair is really cool to watch but the blennies have personalities all their own and really funny.

For now, I have decided on the bicolor blenny.

The goby/shrimp pay may come in the future!

Thanks guys.
