Suggestions for moving a large 210g into the basement

I just picked up a 210g (7X2x2) for my upgrade. my dilemma is how to safely get it into my basement. The tank is made out of 1/2" glass so its not as heavy as some other 7ft's. 4 of us easily placed it in my garage. I will have plenty of guys to help on the day of the install. Here are my only 2 options:

1- Down an exterior stairwell, stand the tank on end, make a 90 degree left turn in a 5' X5' ft area lower one end and go in thru the basement entrance (reg size door).

2- Going thru my neighbors yard - a 50 ft walk along the side of his house that includes 2 sets of stairs, each 6-7 steps. then once in his yard i can either dissassemble my chainlink fence and then walk it into my basement thru the sliding glass doors. Trying to lift it over the 6ft fence and into my yard seems extremely unreasonable.

Option 1 is def the easiest but i have doubts about going down the stairs and standing the tank on its end. Option 2 is def safer but will take much more effort.

Thanks in advance!

Not required but If your not sure if its going to make the corners, I would probably make a PVC frame with the same dimensions and have a movement plan to make sure there are no issues.

That or using cardboard.

I helped a guy move a 210 with 5 guys. 4 on the tank and one to hold doors and make sure the area was clear. Going up his stairs wasn't a big deal, but I certainly wouldn't be lifting it over a 6 ft. fence. I doubt it would be a major problem, but the consequences of dropping it are beyond what I would want to risk.

here is the link to how I moved my 550g into the basement with 2 people.

I think you will need to rig up some pulleys in the basement to stand it up, or if 4-5 guys can fit then you may be able to lift it.

+1 on making a template and trying that first as once it gets stuck its a pain to back it out again.

I would opt of option 2 - take down the fence. IMO this is the safest option with least chance for damage to the tank.

Is the top of the fence rail smooth? If so, I'd pad the hell out of it, and with enough people to support the weight on both sides, you can just and slide it over.

one of my buddys has a handtruck...would it be safe to move a tank on a handtruck down the flight of stairs?..and then make the short 90 degree turn while standing it on end?
