Suggestions for my tank

Hi everyone,

Right now I have : diamond goby, lawnmower blenny, Flame Angelfish, Pajama Cardinal and a Snowflake eel in my tank.

I was looking for some suggestions on what to add in here. The tanks is 125 gallons. (6ft-18in-2ft) Everyone in there is doing fine, but it isn't very lively in there. Any suggestions on what to get?

How long has it been running and what kind of filtration do you have. ..That is a Super open Quesiton without even a picture of your tank
 
It's been running for about a year now. Wet/dry sump with a reef octopus protein skimmer. About 75lb of rock on a bed of sand. Sorry, I'm kinda bad at this stuff.

Don't worry about it, people on this site will take their time to give you an amazing response, as long as you have a thick skin :)

Wet Dry's are kind of out of date. Look into a refugium. Also, IMO you need a lot more rock, at least 25 more lbs. How many pounds of sand did you put in?
What is your protein skimmer rated for? If you have an eel, they are super messy eaters and will tax your filtration. If you are FOWLR then look into bluejaw triggers. They will bring a lot of movement to your tank. Also look into a yellow tang. One of my favorite fish

Foxface, Yellow, Kole, Tomini, Mimic Tang, Flame Hawkfish just to name a few. Bluethroat Trigger might would work. I would be careful with the eel with some of those smaller fish in there.

I'm honestly not quite sure how much sand there is in here. I sorta "inherited" this setup from my dad after some crazy stuff went down with it. The skimmer is rated for 200 gallons I believe. I do plan on adding some more rock too though. Thanks for the suggestions! That blue trigger sounds interesting.

Thanks! That tomini tang looks nice. I'm not really worried about my eel eating my fish. I've had him since it was about 7 inches long and he's never even looked at any of my fish. I keep him feed with shrimp, clams/oysters, and squid.
 
I would definitely get a trigger, most probably a niger trigger or blue trigger . Clown tangs are nice but you may not want to mix it with a yellow tang. If you plan on adding stony corals I'd forget the trigger.

I strongly disagree, haven't ever heard of any of the xancinthys triggers (bluethroat, crosshatch)ever eating coral, or even the odonus niger... Lots of xhatches and bluejaws are in amazing sps reef tanks.

Only problem with triggers in reefs is that they may eat any inverts, especially shrimp.. If you want a shrimp make sure you add it first, otherwise its lunch :)

Definitely no shrimp ahah. If the trigger doesn't get him my eel will
 
That size tank the Bluethroat Trigger is the only trigger that is recommended. No Clonw Trigger. Triggers won't eat or bother your coral, but they are cautioned around shrimp, snails, crabs, and clams.
 
5x Anthias and/or 5x blue-green chromis would give lots of activity. IDK, big fish just make a tank look smaller to me.

5x blue chromis will = 1 blue chromis in a very short period of time. Kind of like Highlander, there can be only 1

But they sure are nice to watch in the meantime.

I never said triggers eat coral. The reason not to get a trigger if you plan on keeping corals is they chew on the rock to sharpen their teeth and they may knock rocks over onto expensive stony corals not to mention knocking corals off ledges, etc. Obviously they will eat shrimps and other small inverts which you may want to keep. Therefore, they're not recommended for reef aquariums. But they are perfect fish for FOWLR if the other fish are compatible with it.

Some say it can be done with lots of hidey holes in the rockwork. Would have to spend a lot of time on it to make sure there are way more hiding spots than fish.
