Suggestions for SPS flow.

Hi everyone...

I have a Cardiff 25 gallon approx reef... I want to have a few SPS in the tank. I have a small RIO powerhead in there that produces slight flow. Im totally aware that I NEED more flow.
Looking into a MP10. Would that give me suffient flow alone and I can get rid of the RIO? Would I be better off doinfg something else/more?

I think you would be fine using a mp 10 alone as long as the SPS colonies are not extremely dense.

Ok. Im starting with small 2-3 inch frags... I really only intend on having 3 to 5 peices.

Thanks guys..I do have sand.. about an 1 1/2 inch bed.. Will get sandstorms regardless?

No you shouldn't see many storms. The flow pattern and undertoe of the vortechs are awesome.

I wouldnt say sand storms , but you may get a few drifts , but dont let that put you off vortechs are very controllable.

plus 1...one mp10 would be all you need and if the sand storm happens then just trun it down.
