suggestions on breeding/keeping setup

So after checking out my local/buddies clown breeding setup. ive kind of motivated myself to do more then i plan too.
my initial plan was to only have 1 or 2 pairs of clowns in a big tank but after thinking i talked myself into running a breeding setup so i can have all the differnet types of pairs i want and maybe breed them and then still have my pairs in the 120 gallon.

here is what i have so far.
i have already order more black plexiglass 1/8 thick 12x24 sheet and 1 inch bulk heads i will be using as over flows.
i will be using a mag 3 return pump

please let me know your suggestions this is not for making money but for my own hobby and wanting of different types of clowns. simple and easy is my plan.

a simple drawing.

I keep my pairs in a ten gallon tank and they regularly mate. The problem is the eggs have to be removed or they all disappear on the hatch date with no visible fry.
You will need a place to keep and rear the fry. A typical hatch will be 50 - 100 fish.
It is not all that difficult but I'd suggest starting with one pair first. When you are successful you will find that getting rid of your fish is a lot more difficult than raising them.

Im just using this as a example of what i plan to do. So i am and will be copying this setup. If it doesnt work i do have plenty of 40 gallon tanks i can split in half and just raise them. this is strickly for my personal hobbie i do not plan to make any profit. If i do successed in breeding then whatever i have at the time will end up going to the MN frag swap.
as for grow out tanks i have plenty of tanks to aquire whatever frys i have also i do have plenty of back up from my buddy who is a local breeder. which who i will be getting my main clowns from.

picture below is what i plan on replicate my setup from. but instead i will be have a separate overflow/return for each section.

You're gonna need way more than 29 gallons if you want to split into four sections. Your proposal would leave each pair with only 7.25 gallons to work with. Not very nice (or healthy) IMO. The example pics you posted show a much bigger tank. I would go with a 40 gallon at the very least, which is borderline for smaller species like ocellaris and percs, but still insufficient for your tomatoes, maroons and clarki.

i will be trying this out and seeing how far i can get. if space is too cramp then i will set up my other 29 gallon and do halfs for each pair.

i will be using a Pro Clear Aquatics Pro 150 (gutting it and running live rock/doing a refuge) as my sump. still debating if i should just keep my CPR bakpak or run a different skimmer. also as my return i plan to pick up a mag9 to get enough pressure up to the return hoses.

If anything i would do 3rds, the width between each section is very skinny height imo isnt as impotrant. I would deff start looking for buyers though gonna be hard to sell so many. I get about 500 clowns a month and havr to skip a few batches as i can only sell about 150 every other week.

I would be weary of doing any hard plumbing on the back wall (as opposed to the bottom) especially with 4 holes on one tank.

I would suggest getting 4 10g tanks and then doing the plumbing together in a common sump.. I would also join the drains and not have them all go into the sump individually

thanks for the reply. i will definitly look at what my options are once i receive everything. as of right now i have the 29 gallon split in half just because i am collecting my pairs soon and would like the water to end it 3 rd cycle before i add anything.

as for the drains i will be conjoining them.

also after thinking i may switch it up and split a 40 gallon since i have plenty of them laying around. sadly i order the plexiglass as 12 x 24 it sucks trying to redo the order. i have 4 pairs so i will need 4 slots.

Good luck with the build. I think the bigger the better. And keep in mind the other guy had his 29 gallon breeding station plumed into his 300g.

thanks..i think i will try the 29 gallon first and if that doesnt work out i will switch over to the 40 gallon. i will be running a big enough refug/sump so it should work out. if not ill take the lost and go with the 40 gallon build.
this is strickly a hobby so if it doesnt work out i will just have some super nice looking clowns.
