Suggestions on how to fix

So I'm pretty new to this and i have several question the first being can you have to much live rock in you tank (70gal about 220lbs live rock) the reason I'm asking is because when I first setup my tank I think my mistake was just stacking and putting the live rock in what I'd call piles (wasn't thinking)and at this point I have quite a bit of coral but not happy with how my tank looks and I'm really not sure how to go about fixing the problem without damaging coral etc any suggestion would be helpful thanks

Rock will always be good, no matter how much you have, but when it really boils down to it IMO is aesthetics. Once you start packing the tank full of corals these things SHOULD grow, (taking up space) so you need to calculate for that. A filter is just a filter, whether it's a rock, a skimmer or some other sort of media. I hope that made since.

IMO yes there can be too much rock in a tank. For me there is the aesthetics of the tank then there is some more practical things such as:

Dead spots due to inefficient flow patterns.
unable to reach spots to clean.
no room for fish to swim.

Just my 2 cents.
