I have been an expert in the fishy retail world for several years, and have taken care of octos in the store before and have always gotten really attached to them, and now want to recreate an environment for one in my home. the only octo we ever got in were the common octopus, never any pigmies, etc. after reading some of the discussions on this forum i realize that there is a whole world of different types of octopi available for the home aquarium. so i have 3 questions. 1. what type of octopus would you recomend for a newbe octo enthousiast such as myself? i want one that is super-interactive like the common, (i have heard the pigmy is antisocial) no matter what type i get it will be a specialty tank just for it and no tankmates. 2. what do you think are the ideal dimentions/ set up for the octopus you reccomend as an answer to #1? 3. what water perameter guidelines have you had the most sucess with... do you think i will need a chilller?
any information you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
tasida
