Sorry, just saw you don't want a wrasse.

Do you have algae issues?

I just can't make up my mind on the wrasse thing, but my girlfriend would probably like one. I have plenty of time to decide while the tang is occupying my qt. I do like the idea of a wrasse for eating any pests, not that I have any at the moment.

And I have some algae issues, nothing all that bad. Leftover problems from a tank crash last year during hurricane Isaac. It is slowly improving.

And to update on the mimic:

She finally ate something besides mysis this morning and tried a little bit of nori. Not exactly feasting, but definitely eating it. She still refuses NLS pellets.

I've been slowly raising the SG of the QT to NSW levels, last night we got to 1.024. The water she was shipped in was 1.019 and I wanted to make the change slowly.

I also started a prophylactic prazipro treatment yesterday, I will give her 5 days of that and then a month with cupramine. I know a lot of people don't agree with treating without a fish displaying a sickness, but I'm sticking to that plan.

Hey glad to see the mimic is eating and is healthy. As for another fish have you looked at the chalk bass? It's an awesome little fish with great colors.

Yes, eating more and getting healthier by the day. She actually ate a NLS pellet today after spitting it out about 6 times. Now I'm really comfortable knowing that she will eat mysis, nori, and pellets as those are my three main foods.

As far as the chalk bass, I hadn't really heard much about them. I'll talk to some people in my reef club to see if I can look at one in person, the pictures seem like they don't do it justice.
