Suggestions!

You have all been pretty reliable for help, so I come to you yet again.
The tank: 10gal nano, 15-20lbs. LR, 1.5" sand bed, 28W 50/50 PC, sealcone 100. First off, I would like mention that I know 28W over a 10gal isn't a whole lot, but I don't want to get MH like everyone else :)
I was aiming for this tank to be a mixture of a couple of softies, and some basic LPS. Thus far, I am considering: Blastomussa, GSP's, Candy coral, Ricordea, and heliofungia.

I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions concerning what corals I may be able to house under the above conditions. Also, if you've had/have any experience or tips about the corals listed, feel free to share (placement in tank, flow, supplements, etc.)

If you do know that, why don't you get a MH or something better? Just because everyone else has it doesn't mean you'd be looked upon as someone who tries to mimic others, it's plainly something better. That's a fact. Why put yourself through only using a lighting when the reason for not upgrading is because it'd be jumping on the bandwagon? I don't agree with the logic there =/ If it's something to do with budget and such, sure that'd make sense, but comon, stop persuading yourself that if everyone else has it, it's undesirable. Did you goto UC Berkeley? ;)

Anything that's a softy will do ok, though I always keep my zoos higher than my SPS under 250watts.

You can look into non photosynthetic corals too, like dendros, which only rely on feeding to survive.

well if you going LPS, with all the feedings, ( food pollution ) I suggest getting a better skimmer, probly a HOB type remora....

Kinetic,

No, you're correct. I didn't mean to sound as though I didn't want to jump on the bandwagon. Of course I would want MH, but yes the budget is one of a college students, haha. I've been hounded before for settling for pc's, but it's what I've got - that's what meant =)

delsol,

I figure the seaclone 100 is rated for a 50 gallon, and thought it would skim the bejeezes out of the 10gal it's on now. I forgot to mention I will be performing 2-3 gallon water changes a week

ah, okie dokez =) sorry, was just hoping you weren't holding off for the wrong reasons =)

I have a 32watt pc over my 7g nano at work. It houses zoas, mushrooms, kenya tree, and at one time candy cane.

The one big killer of nano tanks would not be light, but salinity change due to evaporation.

Metal halides are great if you have a top-off system whether it be you or some device.
