I'm thinking of adding a xanthurus tang to my tank. Its a 125 gallon with a small desjardinii, yellow tang, 2 clarkii and a swallow tail angel. Is this suicide for a purple tang? want to remind you that my yellow is barely bigger than my desjardinii who just turned into adult colour's...

Closer to murder than suicide ;)

Not a good idea to add a 3rd Zebrasoma to a tank with 2 aready established. The Purple will receive a lot of aggression.

Will it be possible if i move the two tangs in a temporary tank for a few days and then add all three together in main tank?

To be honest, your tank is on the small side for keeping 3 tangs. However, if you are going to do it any way I would suggest placing the the 2 you have already in a holding tank for a week or so and then add them all at the same time. But...this is by no way a guarantee that it will work. My advice is stick with what you already have and leave it at that. The desjardinii grows to 14 inches!

Even if it works at first you will be destined to a non peaceful tank sooner or later

Well the desjardinii is barely 2.5 inches but its going to a bigger tank as it grow. Anyway i'm gonna leave the purple and maybe get a dwarf angel instead ;)

That is a wise decision. If you are keeping corals be careful with the centropyge angels as they do nip. Why not pair up your Genicanthus. Which specie do you have?

I have G.Melanospilus, I ordered a pair but the only the male arrived so I went for that one. Here in norway selection is poor and the one I have is the first swallow tail I have ever seen in norway, but I will still be looking for a female.

Usually the males are more fragile so your odds of getting a female improve. Nice fish and a beautiful pair if you can do it.
