Suitability of Acrylite FF?

For a large sump for a 300g, will be using 1/2" outer walls. Cell-cast Acrylite FF OK, or need something different?

TIA,

Kev

Acrylite FF is not a cell cast acrylic. It is a continuous sheet aka extruded material. It has never been recommended for aquarium use, although some use it for sumps, with appearantly little consequence.

The Acrylite product that is cell cast is Acrylite GP. However, there has been a decline in the consistency of the product, and it is no longer recommended for aquarium use.

The cell cast acrylic products that are recommended are Polycast, and Plexi-glas G. (Plexi-glas is a brand name; Plexiglass is a generic term for Acrylic...just general informaton.)

For a large sump, I would not recommend an extruded acrylic, only the two cell cast products mentioned above.
