Anyone here been using a Sulphur Denitrator? I added one almost 3 years ago and I'm not sure on how effective it is really? But the beads inside are black now so should I change teh media? What is teh consensus on this product these days?
There is a long post on DIY sulphur denitrator that addresses all the issues concerning these things. I have had one for a couple of years and they work really well. I think the biggest issue with long term use is what to do when you get your nitrates down to zero. I believe that the current thinking is that you take down your denitrator, clean it and remove half the sulpher and put it back online.
