So, just to gauge interest, who would be interested in getting together for an impromptu Frag & Brew Fest either this Saturday or next. Since today's already Friday, it might be best to shoot for next weekend, but I'm open to tomorrow as well.
As noted previously, I had a bit of a party at my place last weekend, and I still have a 3/4 keg of Fat Tire Amber Ale left that I would hate to see go to waste. I also still have two 12 foot canopies and dual BBQ's set up in the backyard. So we could grill up some munchies, kick back with a nice brew, and swap some frags while we're at it.
I'm up in Yuba City, so I'm not sure if someone with a more central locale would like to step up and offer to host this thing, but if not my place is definitely available. And since it's still pretty clean from getting ready for the last party, this is probably the best time to invite people over.
Oh, and the place is "kid-friendly" as well, I have a 3 and 4 year-old myself, so the back is decked out with a full playground swingset/fort/slide, etc.; so families would definitely be welcome and encouraged to attend.
Like I said, let me know if anyone's interested, it would be a shame to waste 8 or 10 gallons of good ale. And it would be a great opportunity to meet some of our fellow reefers, and a chance to swap/trade/donate frags amongst ourselves as well.
It's just a thought, I figured I have a lot beer, the house and yard are still pretty much set up for a party, and I've got lot's of space inside and out...so why not make use of it...
