Sump Advice

I need a sump for a 40 breeder build that I'm doing and I'm looking at the Trigger Sapphire 26 and Ruby 30. Anyone have any experience with either of these? Also I will be running a synergy shadow overflow bean animal style, so I was wondering if it would be better to have the two drain inputs in the Ruby versus only having one in the Sapphire?

Both of those sumps are just fine..
However you will not use either of the "drain inputs" on them as you must have the outlets of the bean drain about 1/2" below the water level in the sump and you do not want to combine any of them in order for it to work properly on startup,etc....

Could I use the two drain inputs on the Ruby 30 and continue the plumbing down into each sock and under the water line? Might make changing the socks a little more challenging because I would have to submerge the sock a little to get it clear f the drain lines? Just trying to figure out how a bean animal would work with this sump?

Sorry the above post is under an older username that I never use, but nonetheless that's my question regarding the Ruby 30

You can certainly use the 2 inputs for the main/partial siphon of the bean and continue (without air leaks) down into the water 1/2" deep..
Then run the emergency where you can (it does not need to exit under the water).. just the other 2..

Ok, that's what I was hoping to do. I was wondering if I run it the way that you described, is there still a way to use the filter socks? Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.
