Sump Baffle Top Edges (round or square)

I am beginning a DIY sump design from 12mm acrylic. One detail I don't see discussed as much as others is should the top edge of the baffles be rounded? I could see how this could help at certain flow rates.

My main interest is for sound reduction.

Obviously this is much easier to do before assembly than after!

I would take the sharp edges off for sure so you dont cut your hands. Although I dont think sound wise there is a lot of difference, round would probably be quieter due to less flow disruption.
Cheers! Mark

It is not needed and will have very little to no effect on the noise.

Limit the distance water is falling is very beneficial as far as noise reduction goes..
So keep your levels fairly equal to just a bit lower and you won't hear much..
