sump baffles

I have heard silicone doesn't adhere well when used with a combination of glass and plastic. I don't know of exactly what you can use other than silicone but when making your cuts try to make sure that the pices are a very close fit. And if you will have some leftover material use it to help brace anything that seems like it will need a bit of extra support.

I used silicone on my sump with plexiglass and the baffles held fine. Even with the massive amount of bowing they did!

When I took out the old baffles in my glass tank to make a new sump, I had a hell of a time getting them out. The silicon holds 'em real tight.

silicone will hold them in place very well, however, silicone does not bond to acrylic.

That's why you don't use silicone to adhere together an acrylic tank.

for the purposes of baffles in a sump, silicon will do the job fine.

Use some sandpaper on the edges of the acrylic to rough them up a little. This will help the silicone adhere.
