Sump Buddy Skimmer Advice Needed

Just got an etss sump buddy 40 today...anyone running this skimmer with a right angle nozzle so the pump can sit right underneath the intake ???
what hose do you recommend for it ?
using a mag 9.5 pump - will the pump be noisy sitting on the floor of the sump?
I know some of you out there that own one ...been watching the post on the etss skimmer club thread..
any setup advice appreciated...pics would help also...

I think that th mag 7 is a better match.the pump will be fine sitting there. Use about 2 to 4 of the mini balls

I'm using the sump buddy 40 with a mag drive 9.5. I did install a right angle fitting to set the pump right next to the skimmer. Works great and it's not too noisy. Use the larger bioballs with this pump. See my review on this skimmer in the review section.
