sump conversion

Okay I want to get some opinions on this. I want to convert my sump(aquarium life support systems)22"lx10"wx16"t to a refugium. The sump currently has bioballs in it about a 12"x10"x10" area. I want to remve the bioballs except for a small portion and add some baffles to create the refugium. I have about 70lbs of live rock in the tank. Can this be done without harming the the tank i.e. tank cycle again? Also any plans on how to build would be great. How big should the actuall refugium be? I currently have a quiet one external pump..is this going to still be okay? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

I removed my bioballs about 2 years ago with no cycle. I think you should be fine. Your refugium should be as large as possible. Let me know when you have it up and running and I'll fix you up with some chaeto.
