Posted in octo cone club, but I guess no one found it yet..........Some one must have bought a sump that this skimmer fits in!

I ordered my xp2000int today, and need to find a sump that fits it. It will go under my aga150( 6', dual overflow ). Stand has 16+ inches between the braces. I can get a 36 in long sump in easily, longer if it's thinner than 16 inches. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks for the help

I got the 3000. While I have not experimented, I have read many times that the skimmer needs 6" of water to work optimally. That limits the sumps you can use by a lot. I chose to make my own. My advice would be to grab a tank in which the skimmer will fit (and that'll fit in your stand) get some glass cut at a glass shop (very cheap) and make baffles yourself. Took me about 10 minutes, let cure 48hrs and you're in business

I have the 2000 extreme Octopus and it is in a 36g sump and about 7" water and performs great! sump is 36x13x17

Just make your sump, my xp 2000 is in about 8" of water in a sump made from a 29 g tank. Had I thought things through I would have paid the extra $ for the space saver, the foot print on this skimmer is HUGE.

I have one of those skimmers, they are the ducks.............walnuts............ 10 out of 10 best skimmer I have ever used including better than deltecs IMO.
