sump - need advice

What would you suggest putting there?

gear:
1. heater.
2. return pump.
3. protein skimmer.

that's it.

no reactor whatsoever.

Equipment wise that's what I've had in mine for 10 years with no problems.

Sounds nice and simple. Put your skimmer in the first section if you can. I would get an auto top of as well.

Oh, i thought you were just looking for equipment. Yes I would put a refugium in there as well. I keep chaeto and LR in mine. I also have a DSB but you need to research out if that is something you want.

I have the return pump, skimmer, ato, GFO/Carbon reactor, Bio-pellet reactor, Probes, heater, dosing pumps in my sump.
