Hi,
Need some pics of 120-140 G Sumps as well as any suggestions or recommendations to finalize the design of my in stand sump.
Thanks

thanks for the replies.
I'm frequently on Marc's website but thought I could make use of seeing some sumps in the stands and how things are fitted in them...

I made 2 sumps. One for my skimmer and socks and another for my fuge. I had to do it in 2 separate units to get it under my tank. This might give you some ideas.

The design:

This is the sump that the ones above replaced. It was around 130G. The left side was filled with bio balls and live rock. It measured 60" long x 18 wide and 30" tall.

Well I am doing my 180 build and only have a 40g breeder tank. I am doing the baffles tonight with overflow on the left with skimmer, than bubble traps to the middle with the return. Than on the right I have the refugium with 25% flow draining into the middle going through teeth at the top of the baffle.

What you are showing is badass and beyond what I am doing.

Actually I feel completely clueless after looking at these other large tanks, and need to know what these people do for a living (holy crap)

Slief, enjoyed seeing your tank on Youtube. I watched all of LA Fishguys movies on your tank earlier today. How are things going since the change over?

Pretty good now. The ich outbreak before the change over killed me.. Well, lots of fish. He did over dramatize things on the most recent episode (30 Pt. 7 I think). My losses were not as bad as he made them out to be.

Great Sump you got there Slief.

Julesjt,
Thanks for the info.

Thank you! There was a lot of blue tape on the floor coming up with a design that would fit where I needed it to...

This is how it began.. Tape on the floor laid out to fit within the space constraints of my tank.

My thought on the layout for your sumps is that they are too close.. (could be pic.) but I think you will have issues at the connecting valve. Looks like you did not leave space for a bulk head and the pipe to connect to the shut off valve. Also do you have enough space too be able to twist the shut off once it gets a little harder to twist due to salt creep and gunk inside the valve.. (They always seem to stick when ya really don't need em sticking!)
