Are there any sump pump (house sumps, not aquarium) battery backup systems suitable for our uses?

None? I thought using a couple deep marine batteries for backup would be a good idea.
I use a deep cycle > pure sine inverter backup on the return pump and heater. I've had it for two years now, and its been great. I keep a couple extra relays on hand in case the transfer switch dies (which it hasn't yet, but you never know). As it happens, power died for about 5 mins last night, took about two seconds for the inverter to switch to active.
