Sump Question

will do, I got all my glass cut and was playing on gluing it together last night but a buddy callled who was taking down his tank and so I went over and bought about 200lbs of live rock a Hippo Tang and a Sail Fin, about 20 hermits and 15 snails for $240, HECK OF A DEAL wouldnt you think? The rock is great looking too.

Yes.. Good deal!!! But a 29 is WAY to small for a tang.... And they ate prone to ich so keep everything perfect!!

Got in a little late to this party, but back to your sump. You have space for a refugium, but you also need to allot space for a skimmer. Usually, there are 4 sections for a good sump. First is the drain section (usually smallest, w/wo sock), second is the skimmer section, third is a refugium section, and 4th is the return section. If you realy want fancy and have a large enough sump and space, a fifth section would be for reactors.

A hipo and a sailfin tang? How big is your tank?

Well the problem with putting all that together in the sump would be a hassle since its a 10gal sump, and as far as the Protein Skimmer goes its a HOB and so I will just hang it and let the water flow back into the filter sock (hopefully it works out like that). But I have a section for the flow in then goes through the fug then into the return.

As far as the stuff I bought last night I put most of it in my buddy's 50 gal fug he as connected to his 180gal. The fish are his, I dont have the room for them I decided. But took the crabs and snails, I now actually have a CUC and hopefully they will have my algae taken care of by this weekend.

Im going out of town this weekend but going to get my buddy to help me put together the sump since I am the one that found that great deal on the rock and fish.

Yea, if the Sail Fin was smaller I'd think about it a lil more but I think I have too many fish in there as it is right now.
