Sump question

You want it. It forces the bubbles back up, which makes it harder for the pump to suck them in and send them into the display tank.

This is my first sump tank. I was trying to figure out where to put my ATO sensor. Not sure where the evaporation will be happening.

That's what I thoughT. Maybe I'm over thinking it. I was staring at it thinking it wouldn't work since there's only an inch from middle baffle to lower one.

with smaller return chambers like that one and the one I currently have I like to set the valve/switch a little higher than normal. On mine is it almost 1" above the blue level line from the manufacturer. IMO this also helps prevent micro bubbles from getting to the DT and give you a tiny bit more volume/water space above the return pump

Return pump chamber is where the reef ready over flow is right. In the main tank. Might sound stupid. But just wanted to make sure

The return pump chamber is the chamber that the return pump sits in. The chamber shown in the picture of the OP.
