Sump question

Curious what everyone is using in heir sump under their return pump? I have a mag7 return pump which i know isn't the quietest to begin with but is there something i can place under it to cut down on vibration?

Second question is what can i use under my skimmer to raise it to the recommended level? I am running a RO 150 classic ss and cut a piece of 4" pvc for now but there has to be something better and more stable i can use?

following.....

I have the same concern. I used a Styrofoam from the packaging that I got from my Reef Octo 110 SSS but looks like my skimmer works better on a more than the recommended depth. Still could not get the right set up after good 3 days of running it... it stops getting that much gunk. I don't know if its because the tank is cleaner or the skimmer is not working that much since the bubbles doesn't go that high anymore.

About my pump, I dunno if its my ATO that is not working that much or my pump is pumping too fast... how often do you guys top off some water on your tank? looks like mine is everyday I'am topping off almost a gallon.

For my skimmer I've used a salt bucket, upside-down, cut to the appropriate height, and with large holes drilled in the side. Works like a charm!

Most people use eggcrate and zip ties to make a platform for skimmer, basically a box.

For return some still use eggcrate, mouse pads, I've made a grid of silicone bead on my DIY sumps just for that.

I have a mag for SW mixing, man it's loud, maybe consider a replacement later.

+1 on eggcrate zip tied to pvc legs. I also put silicone under my return pump and there is zero vibrations.

For my Mag 12, I put a bunch of tiny beads of silicone on the bottom of pump and let it fully cure. It is dead silent. A silicone mat would probably be easier but this was on hand and no added cost.

Go buy a silicone trivet from Walmart. You will find it in the kitchen section. Best thing for vibration. That's what I use. 3 dollars and u r set

+1 Basically what everyone else is doing.

Silicone mat under the return, and eggcrate with PVC legs for the skimmer.
