Hi everyone. I am getting ready to build my sump/refugium. The overflow I am drilling into my tank will be 1in and will be approx 600gph. Is it alright for the sump and refugium be connected to this? I hope this makes sense. I was going to have the first chamber be where the water is first drained into the sump, then skimmed, then the second chamber would house the refugium, then the third chamber would be the uptake back into the aquarium. Does this sound right to you? I couldn't search the RC for sump designs. Does anyone have any helpful hints? I'd really appreciate it. I am using the refugium to grow pods and possibly house mangroves to keep nitrates down. Thank you all. I'd appreciate any suggestions on designs. I am going to homedepot to get acrylic later today.
