Hi everyone... I've been into the reefing hobby for about a year now and had a FOWLR for about 6 years prior... have always used a Fluval Canister... but I'm looking into putting together a sump/refugium for my 90. I've found a used 30gal. and I'm going to DIY the baffles. My question refers mainly to suggestions about skimmers and return pumps... I'm pretty short on the money flow, which is why I haven't tried doing a sump in the past as well... But, I figured that since I found such a cheap tank ($20), I might as well get off my butt and try this. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on cheap equipment that would work decently or if anyone had any old used equip. that I could possibly purchase... or maybe even some fairly "simple" DIY ideas or mods for cheap equipment?
Doing a lot of reading online, but I still feel completely clueless as far as all of the plumbing stuff goes... I doesn't help that when I bought the tank last year, I never considered a reef or a sump so I didn't buy one with the overflows... *kicks himself really hard*...
Any help/thoughts would be greatly appreciated..
