Sump setup advice

I'm setting up a 65gallon tank with a 20l sump. My question is with the sump design, I'll be running reactors for carbon and gfo and like the idea of refugiums but I'm not sure if it would be a practical decision in this case.

I'm trying to squeeze a sock, RO110 and vectra m1 in this 20 and it leaves only about 10" of surface area for a refugium if I pack it tight. Is my head in the clouds?

Does anybody else have experience with a sump this size and have any advice or guidance for a newb, all my previous tanks are AIO so this is my first experience with this equipment setup.

Thanks

i'm going to assume that you meant 20 GALLON not 20 LITRE.
you might be able to squeeze a return pump and reactors in there but i'd ditch the refugium as you'll still need a chamber for your inlet, your center section or equipment section (skimmer, gfo) and a bubble trap that leads to the chamber for your return.
an ato would be a great addition if you don't already have one but that also will eat into the space in the sump.

yeah sorry its a 20G long and I'm going to be plumbing a manifold for the reactors to run off of the M1. That should help with space but still its not much to work with.
The layout I drew on the tank shows skimmer and sock in chamber 1 going over a baffle to refugium (chamber2) then over and under to chamber 3 (return)

OR

Just have an open sump with a bubble trap before the return. This is obviously the easiest option but I know I feed with a heavy hand so I'm trying to be proactive.
