looking for a 40 gal. breeder tank to use for a sump. Can anybody help me out

why a 40g? i saw a wet/dry on CL....is it a budget issue?

I have a megaflo#4 wet/dry but but did not want bio-balls. Also skimmer area not as large as I need. Thanks for the reply . When you are new on here with no posts it seems like the click will not reply.

40 breeders are great for sumps but hard to find. i found one on cl it took a few months though.

I may order a new one if i cant find one. This is as large as i can fit under my 90 gal. I would like to put a 55 gal. under it, but only have 48" and they measure 48.5

I have a 50 gallon breeder sump/refugium that I am not using.

I believe 30, 40, and 50 gallon breeder tanks are all the same base dimensions, only the height changes. When I get back home, I will measure it exactly. Maybe we can make out a trade if it will fit?

All breeders are 36"x18" but you can get a 30BR in 30"x18". Height is the only thing different.

The 50 gallon breeder sump/refugium I have is 36 1/4" long by 18 1/4" wide by 17 3/4" high. It has glass baffles already siliconed in place and bulkheads for external return pumps. Let me know.
