I am just curious as I have thought about adding some snails and crabs maybe down in my sump to help clean up the food that gets drained down into the sump. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on this or any other helpful ideas. Thanks

Yes, I have done it. It helps. I have kept rogue crabs that I have caught out of my tank down there, that thrived and helped eat detritus. The only thing you need to watch or be careful of is a snail getting caught in your protein skimmer intake or like a return pump intake.

ditto. Those little blue legged snail killers are all in my sump now.
