sumpless 180?

I am planning on starting a new 180 gallon reef tank that will eventually be a SPS/Trinadnid tank. I am considering placing two Turbelle Streams with controller 7094. I see that Tunze makes a skimmer 230/3 that attaches to the back of the tank.
Will this set-up eliminate the need for a sump?
Will this set-up be sufficient for a SPS tank?
Do the the Stream pumps have adjustable flow rates?
Will I need more than 2 Streams in the 180 tank?

The Stream set TS24 would be quite sufficient for your aquarium. As for a skimmer, I would be more inclined to recommend Comline components. Models 3130/2 or 3140/2 would be a better choice, they are easier to mount in tank and are specifically designed for this application. I might also consider a Reefpack 500 though it is only rated to 125gals due to the single mechanical cartrdige which will likely clog quickly it is a great value as you get the 3130/2, an osmolator, mechanical filter and 1600/2 pump. Tunze skimmers are designed to be plankton safe and because the work off an osmotic gradient are not very good at particulate removal, for this reason I recommend some sort of mechanical filter.

For your info here is a picture of my 270 gallon SUMPLESS setup using 2 * 6100 streams , 6 * Turbelle porheads and 2 * 3140/2 skimmers.

It is 90% SPS.

I have to ask...Where the heck are your 6100s and the Turbelles??? I don't see them anywhere...

In the 4 weirs at the back.

As follows:-

Left and right weirs each house - 1 Stream, 1 skimmer and 1 Turbelle.

And then the centre 2 weirs both house 2 Turbelles each.

Weir = UK equivalent of an US "overflow"?

yep I guess so
