Sun coral placement

I know it is not mandatory that sun corals be placed out of the direct light but I assume there is noting wrong with doing that? I have several nice overhangs and small caves where they would be visible and fill a void where I can't really put other critters ...

Anything wrong with this strategy?

I would try it and find out.
they do need considerable flow, i find personally, anyway.

Yeah, give it a try. I found in my experience that as long as they are easily accessible for manual feeding they do fine. I put a small frag under a hard to reach bridge in a previous tank and it was difficult to properly feed them resulting in them not looking as healthy as the others.
