sun coral

should I buy a frag of this coral. someone is selling a decent sized one for $60.00 and I have read up on them and it looks like i would have to feed it regularly. Is this a hard to keep coral for a beginner or am I safe with buying this coral.

It can be a very challenging coral.......but with proper attention and feeding you'll be fine.....I have black sun coral and love it......It likes low flow and to be placed under a ledge.....I target feed it every now and then but it really reponds well to feeding the tank and turning off skimmer at night......Melev has a whole post on his sun polyps.......

$60.00 is pretty high for a sun coral ,if you are willing to target feed it ,it will thrive If you stop it will starve.
