sun polyps

had them before. lots of work. you have to feed each individual polyp. usually have to put half a coke bottle over them when you do it so nothing takes there food. very slow eaters. if theres an upside lighting doesnt matter :)

Yeap, it does take alot of work, but they are beautiful. I had them in my 125. It was fun. U basically need a turkey blaster($1 at dollar store) and some frozen mysis shrimp(petco) or some other meaty food. I defost the shrimp and mix it with some garlic juice. I fed them 2 or 3 times a week at night. U can feed them in the morning, but I think they are nocturnal. If u have meat eating fishes, it is wise to feed them first or use the coke bottle method. I saw some at Fish Bowl for $45.

I have some. I feed them every day. Can be a pain sometimes but necessary to help them survive. Cyclopease is a sun polyp fav, in my tank its their main source of food. and then mysis and brine shrimp also. I do the turkey baster thing. but that coke bottle idea sounds great.

I have them also, really like them. I feed once a week or so but I take them out and put them in a bowl just enough to cover with tank water...put in some cyclopeeze to entice them..out they come and then feed them frozen mysis. They are a bit slow, but takes about 20 min until done and then I pop them back in the tank....
