Solar panels are very expensive, this represents a cost about $8.00 per watt, i'm really thinking about a wind mill, more cheaper and work day and night.

Windmills are cheaper but they are more volnarable because pretty much any place with enough wind to run one can have enough wind to break one.

in the city where i live windmills are not allowed even if they would be effective which they wouln't, not enough wind.

so solar panels for me.

I find it really surprising that a City on the Ocean would lack the wind to run windmills, is Venice beach heavily sheltered by islands?

it is just not that windy consistently. out in the desert there are huge windmill farms with 1,000's of windmills. these are areas that are almost always windy.

and then there are those city regulations.

i am putting in a 14Kw solar electric array.

Hi guys!

Hell of a day, to me this was the hottest day of the year... 40ºC:

Perfect day to use the pool, the water was apelative:

After a good afternoon, i took some pics of the tank, i have made some changings, for about a month my O3 generator seams to be failing, the perfect suspec... air humidity, i had ti solve this problem right way, here's my solution:

A humidity remover box, the air passes through the box, and the humidity is deposit in the bottom of the recipient:

After this, the redox value is just fine.

Now for the tank and his habitants.

Has i said before, today was one of the hottest days of the year, the temperature reach 40ºC, the tank water was between 25ºC / 26ºC, with the help of the green cloth so the corals dont get sunburned, and the chiller,this one only worked about 20 minutes, nothing much:

Made some changes in my calcium reactor, the CO2 bottle was too little, this way i bought a new one, 2 KG:

Absolutely stunning, as usual.

I like the idea of using calcium chloride as a humidity reducing box. You should post this idea in the DIY section , it's cheap and reliable.

Its good to see that the screen is working well for your inhabitants. 40 Degress, mmmm glad it only gets that hot here in Oz rarely, where I live anyway :lol: , mid 30's is bad enough.

Looking forward to more updates.

Carl, that is hardcore! I really enjoyed your pictures. I would have posted over there but I've not used my account on MD in so long I don't know what my password would be. I'll try to remember to check that thread from time to time to see how it progresses.
