Sunpod MH flickering on then off

I have a 150w de sunpod with 2 lamps.

Problem is 4 weeks ago one of the lamps Started to turn off and flicker. When my light cycle started the lamp would go on and stay on for 45 mins to 2 hours and then go of for 30 mins then back on and would continue for the entire light cycle.

I tried replacing the lamp and still have the same problem. then 2 weeks ago it just started working again and was fine for 2 or 3 weeks. Now today the problem started all over

any ideas from the electricians?

I was thinking bad ballast at first but I cant see it working for 3 weeks then just go off again.
 
I have the same problem with one of my halides, and never got an answer. Someone suggested heat, and the ballasts are inside my canopy with 3 150w MH, so im buying some fans for my canopy and maybe that will help.
 
I was thinking that as well but I have never had a problem before and both fans are working in my sunpod. Hopefully someone can help us out
 
I've had similar issues with double ended fixtures--check the sockets to see if they are "burnt". If so, the bulb may have run for a while being a bit off kilter and arced the socket or check the wire going to the socket as it may have corroded or burned up--some cheap fixtures using sub par wiring.
