Oooh, nice Jack! I love that last night shot with the light shining down through the water. Looks like that sun is loving your tank. Does it open during the day or just at night?

Thanks Marcye, it is doing GREAT!!! It opens up late afternoon almost every day and a little more every day.....

The night shots are cool, that is with my DIY nite light setup.. :)

Thanks again,

Jack

Beautiful shots...does your camera have a supermacro mode, I think for down to 1.7 cm(or something stupid like that!!)? That is my favorite setting, although no flash allowed and no zoom control(disabled). With this you can get the lines in zoanthids to show in a picture.

yea it has supermacro, but like you said, no zoom, etc. I have not played with that yet, but will have to give it a try.. :)

hey boostable.....

killer photos!! thanks for sharing. you have some beautiful creatures in your tank!

just wondering what your lighting set up is? and more specifically, how many moonlights do you have? especially loved those last two shots...

:D

thanks!

Joec,

Thanks for the compliments...

I run a combo of MH 250 and 400. Actually just adding the 400, been running just 250's for awhile now.

The moonlights are something custom I did. Here is it in a nut shell.

The lights themselves are a set of LED christmas tree lights.

The holder is a piece of 1.5" PVC with 3/16" holes drilled into it. "just big enough to fit the led" The wholes are spaced 1.5" and staggared every 1/2" or so to create a patter like this.. /\/\/\/\/ You get the idea. The spacing can vary depending on the width of your tank.

You mount it with wire looms which in turn give you the ability to rotate the lights forward or backward to put the light where you want it.

Really simple and probrably cost me about $8.00 bucks to produce. ;)

If you want more information or pics, just let me know.

Jack
