super fungus?

I posted this in the reef discussion forum but I haven't had much sucess.This is my coral beauty or was I should say.Bare in mind this fish was looking great 24 hours before this picture was taken.I have had this fish for 2 years now.

I also lost a perc that Ive had for almost 4 years 4 days ago but I figured it was old age.

Looks like its been eatened and regurgitated - got anything in the tank that might do that?

It was the largest fish in the tank.

Just a guess, but do you have any anemones or really large LPS in the tank that couldn't have sucked it in (after it perhaps died from some other cause), coated it in mucus and them puked it back out?

Sapprophytic fungus doesn't really grow in marine systems like they do on dead freshwater fish. After 24 hours, the angel should be faded and pretty smelly, but not engulfed in crud like that.

It smelled real bad.I have never seen anything like this.

No anemones in the tank but I have a huge lobo.Its at the other end of the tank though.
