Super quick cycle question

I now have a severe bubble algae issue. What I plan on doing is setting up a 10 gallon tank on my kitchen counter and moving my two clowns, my hammer coral, and my Acans to that tank. While they are in that tank I am going to take down my 24 gallon tank and completely scrub down the insides.
I only have two options that are known to me for my rock. Bleach it or boil it on the stove. Then scrub it down afterwards and do another soak.

So to my question, once I get the tank set back up again I am going to be back at Day 1. No cycle and all dead rock. Do I leave my livestock in the 10 gallon until I've completed a cycle? or is there a short cut?

Yes, you will be back at day one using these methods. Do not boil live rock. If they have ever had a zoanthid on them, you may release palytoxin, a deadly nerotoxin. I would let the rocks dry out naturally for 24hrs then scrub them with a brush to remove any dieoff. The bacteria on the inside of the rock will remain and the new cycle will be shorter. How much? Who knows. it depends on how much die off was left on the rocks.
