haven't posted for a while but I recently added a AWC system utilizing the DOS pump. I have it set to change 20,000mls each day. This results in about 50 gallons per week. Things really took off in my tank since then. Parameters are super stable and all corals look super happy.
I had an outbreak of some sort of brown hair algae and panicked thinking it was dinos. after looking at them under the microscope I was able to confirm it was some sort of algae. Nitrates and Phosphates are nearly zero since starting vinegar dosing. These numbers were confirmed by Triton labs. Three hours of scrubbing with a toothbrush got them all removed. I changed the lights to more of a 20K spectrum, reduced duration and will spot treat/dose with H202 to keep it under control.
I also added a WP60 for more flow and to just try it out since they are so cheap. It is controlled through the apex and only running 30%max. So far so good.
have an order coming from Battlecorals as soon as it warms up a bit, hopefully next week.
I added a second mag cleaner on the kitchen side so I don't have to keep trying to get the mag around the post.
Here's a new FTS - it is really hard to get good pictures with the iPhone.

Here's one from the kitchen side

and here a sump picture. One thing I've been doing is using blank cattle ear tags to label all my plug ends and zip tying them to the cord. Makes it real easy when you need to unplug something in a hurry. You can see them where everything plugs into the energy bars above the sump.
