IT'S GETTING CLOSER!

RENT is being professionally performed at CenterStage here in Rochester. I am Stage Managing it. Tickets are now on sale and are selling out quickly. For any "rentheads" out there, a lottery is being held for the front row at 10 bucks a seat with proceeds going to the further research on treatment and cure of AIDS.

I highly highly recommend this show. If you have never seen it...I promise you, it will change your life and the way that you look at things for the better.

July 17th - 25th
 
We got the JCC post card the other day and the tickets have been ordered. Fiddler was great and I don't think RENT will disappoint us.
 
Just posted a new blog, kind of a GUSH of feelings that are surfacing while in rehearsal for RENT.

i love my job, i really do...but right now? It's work. very hard work. Show opens in two weeks. My thought for the day? Theater should be considered a contact sport. I have gone through one tube of neosporin, have an ace bandage on my ankle, bruises in very rare places, splinters in my hands you could possibly use for kindling and three large gashes on my arms that will most likely scar.

The plus side is? GREAT SHOW. One that I dearly love and connect with. And now...off to enjoy this great weather with some Fam in from Florida on their sailboat.
 
YO!!!! Nem peeps....get ahold of me soon...some have jumped rock and are now attached to rocks in my sump......
 
Hey everyone....MIA here...but working very hard at opening next Thursday for RENT. Will try to post a few pics of the set and some of the craziness going on backstage. Crew just came in last night.

i seriously have NO IDEA what to do with all this extra time tonight....first time since September of last year...no rehearsal. time to rearrange the living room.....
 
Just went from being the stage manager of Brighton Beach Memoirs for Gaslight Theater Company to the lead actress. How did this happen????? And how am I gonna learn 100 pages of dialogue before August 19th? :worried:

~If you had enough water to fill one million goldfish bowls, you could fill an entire stadium.

~It would take 11 Empire State Buildings, stacked one on top of the other, to measure the Gulf of Mexico at its deepest point.

I would have guessed a stadium would hold far more than 1,000,000 gallons so I did a little math....
a football field is 300 feet long. add end zones, seating, concession areas etc... I know, I know making some pretty big assumptions here.... Let's say it averages 1,000 feet in diameter and 100 feet field to upper row. That 500x500x3.1415926x100= 78,397,750 cubic feet x 8 gallons / cf = 628,318,000 gallons. That makes everyones goldfish bowl a decent sized 628 gallons!!! I want one of those!!! It's awfully early, so help me out folks. I bet I messed up the math somewhere.:reading::confused:
 
i was never any good at math....so....YOU'RE RIGHT!!!! hahahhahahahahahhaha. (and thank you....my brain hurts now...where's the Aleve????)
