rehearsals going EXTREMELY well, except for a few actors that may turn up missing at the end of the run....and if they do???? I KNOW NOTHING.

Where the Rubber Meets the Road

Because the lighting designer for Fiddler decided to over design this show...she made it impossible for anyone to call her over 300 complex cues....so last night...i lost my board operator. NOW...it has come to this...I am running the light board...i have one shot at this...TONIGHT...to run the show AND the board flawlessly.......:sad2:

talk about "no pressure.".

thanks, guys! Well...if I'm still there on Saturday (this is another aspect of this mess i'm not happy with), turn around and look up...i'll be in the booth. I'll be the stressed out blonde with a headset and a bottle of coke and .....er um...a bottle of coke. :hmm5:

I laughed, I cried, I loved it! Thank you so much for showing me around. It is amazing how much really goes into one of these. I can guarantee you'll be seeing me at Rent. :thumbsup:
 
thank you SO MUCH, Mel!!! Except for one cue...which, thank God for YouTube (i've been listening to "Tradition"...specifically the last measure...for hours) I can probably nail on Saturday...and one missed fly cue which wasn't my fault...I called a flawless show. And you can ask Mel, because she saw my book...just how hard that is.

I can now safely invite one and all to see this production at JCC CenterStage in Rochester.

whew. I did it.........
 
been a very stressful three weeks....getting to this point where the show opens...today is my first day off in three months where i have nothing going on.

Thanks Kat ill let you know :) Yeah I have half of my rock out in a bucket and first rock I pulled out fell on the big hippo lol He's ok didnt scratch and was a small tonga but jeesh lol They are hard to work around! Ill keep you updated :)
 
Glad things went well for you on your theater stuff Kat.

Shawna - you'll have to post some pics of your old and new scaping once it's done. I love seeing what the changes in rockwork can do to a tank.

Ok...........not sure what happened but allmy rock is on the left! hahahaha Omg see this is why I hate scaping!!!!!!!!!
 
Dont get discouraged. I had to re-arrange my scaping at least 5 times after I upgraded from a 20H to a 54 corner bow. I like it now, but I wasn't in love with it each time before I changed my rock. Just make sure that you REALLY like it once you think it's good, or if you are at all like me, you will be doing it over again.
