I have a frag of superman Monti that is primarily red polyps visible. The blue base is lightly colored and completely covered over. Is this due to individual genetics of this piece or due to the lighting it was previously under? I have had this frag for about two weeks now. Sitting near by is a frag of Rainbow Monti that has a beautiful blue base much like I would hope for the Superman.
Does the Superman favor high, medium, or mild lighting? Also, can someone explain how it's appearance changes with each form of lighting?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I do not want to fall back on the " spend six months moving and observing method" if other reefers can point me in the right direction. Also if this is just genetics and placement will not change this particular frag's blue base, then I will place it and be content.
Thanks All,
kevin
